[OKDXA] Impending Ice Storm

Looks like the corridor along I-44, from Wichita Fall though Tulsa
will bear the brunt of the approaching storm, and it looks like it
will almost all be ice. Dang! And I just got all my antennas up and
working just like I wanted. Hopefully, my ARRL Insurance will be in
effect by the time anything bad happens (I faxed the application and
payment yesterday). I've had my KLM KT-34A and Cushcraft 40CD2 for a
long time -- I'll miss sure them if they come down.

As a non-DX related aside, I'm heading a project that examines
dual-polarization radar data and compares what that radar sees with
precipitation type. There's a web page for the project
(http://www.nssl.noaa.gov/projects/winter06/) linked off of the
National Severe Storms Laboratory home page. My project maintains an
on-line form on which the public can enter their observations of
precipitation type. Between snagging new ones, I'd appreciate some
observations of precipitation type from your QTH if your within
90-100 mi of Norman.

Stay warm!
