Coy:
My thoughts and prayers are with you and Judy this morning. I am saddened
by what you have told us about her condition. As you know, I have the same
problem and I did have the surgery a few years ago. The Cather Ablation is
the procedure they did on me but it was not successful because he did not go
down into the Tricuspid Valve and burn any errant cells there and that was
where most of my problems seemed to stem from. I have been on Atenolol
since then and it has controlled it somewhat. They doubled my dose about a
year ago and in the last few months I have started having Tachycardia spells
again. I can truly say I know what she is going through and my heart felt
prayers are with you.
I was saddened and disturbed about Wayne Mills departure from the ARRL. I
continue to consider Wayne as a good friend and someone that did a yeoman's
effort while heading up that department. I would hope that the ARRL could
find someone as strong a supporter of DXing and Contesting as Wayne but I
think they will have huge shoes to fill.
Most of all I want you to know that we will continue to keep you and Judy in
our prayers. God Bless you both!

Alan, N5PA

Hi All,
Many of you know my xyl Judy so I thought I would share this with you. I
nearly lost her Sunday. She had been complaining with shortness of breath
and being weak so after church Sunday, I took her to the Mercy Health
Hospital in OKC. She was diagnosed with congestive heart failure with a
heart rate of 120 beats per minute and extremely high blood pressure. It
took them over five hours of trying every thing in their bag of tricks
before they were able to get her heart to convert to sinus rhythm and her
blood pressure back to tolerable.
She is still in the hospital undergoing a study to see if she can tolerate
a new drug they have available for her heart electrical problems. If that
doesn't work, they plan to do a procedure where they deaden some of the
heart nerves. Her heart doctor said that she couldn't afford to go
through another session like this.
Keep her in your prayers.
