[OKDXA] 160m

Fellow DXers,

I don't think I have ever heard 160m as open as it was this morning.  I
got up about an hour before sunrise to see if anything was on.  I found
loud signals all over the band and they were mostly JA's.  Some of them
20db over S9.  They were the same strength as stateside stations.  Some of
the stateside stations had pileups of JA's calling them.  Very strange. 
VK9DNX was about S8.  These signals persisted until about 15 minutes after
sunrise and then started to tail off.  I do believe you could have worked
a logbook full of JA's with a coat hanger.  Nothing new for me but sure
was fun listening to all the excitement.

Rumor has it that the ZD8 is going to be on 160m this evening.  Should be
fun.
