The tubes with a blue glow are likely mercury vapor rectifiers, the
burple jobbies look exactly like gas thyratron voltage regulators. This
time of year it looks pretty. In August, not so much.

The past few days I've been plowing through junque that hasn't been
touched by OM hands in over a decade. Trying to get the pile organized.
Have found things I'd completely forgotten about and... Somebody stop me
before I start soldering... Discovered I have more than enough 'stuff'
ratholed to fit in with the AM'ers on 3885.

Some of the best rag chews are on AM (IMHO) and  this Sunday morning
around 8-ish there was a dandy on 3890. I'll be listening again next week...
