I just noticed something similar. I have a SpeedStream DSL modem as
well that feeds a Netgear (Nortel) switch/WAP that feeds all rooms
with Cat 5e. In N5UWY master control, there is another LinkSys
(Cicso) 4-port switch to feed the Radio PC and the Other PC.

I had the Radio PC on but the network disconnected at the wall.
Crawled under to plug it in and immediately got a loud heterodyne on
20. Didn't bother mapping it out to see which bands it was on.

I did bypass the switch in the radio room and it was still there, so
my guess is it's the 3C905 NIC (that I use in place of the one on the
MoBo, which was taken from me by Thor).

Decided I will just disconnect during RRTY RU next week. I don't use
Cheat Mode (cluster) anyway, so it's no loss.

No problems that I've noticed with the wireless, but that's 2 walls away.
