[OKDXA] Ice

We got our power back about 5pm last night. Only those houses off the main
feeder lines were restored. I'm on the corner so I'm one of them. My
neighbors all the way down the street were still without power. I don't
hear generators anymore so I think they got theirs up today. Still have
lots of chainsaw work to do. Lost the wire antenna and a top rail fence
post but the rest of the antennas lost their droop so not much permanent
damage done her. Hope everyone stays safe and warm.

Yes Gene - I saw some of the poles down in Owasso - Son Mark lives out
there and they have yet to get power restored. Possibly soon as they
are served by the rural electric who were making some headway today
at getting things back on line near their location.

Charlie - K5TTT is within a few blocks of Mark and he had sent some
photos of the "destruction". A real mess along 96th street.

And yes - I do feel fortunate to have heat. lights etc. Even able
to plug in my coffee pot to the wall. Ran on a generator for the
fairly brief time we were out. In days of old living from a chuck
wagon and only bathing when in a town had to be some hard times!
No ham radio either.
