[OKDXA] Ice

Owasso is pretty much like Jerry explained it. It's like a warzone. 10's
of square miles without power. Small pockets of areas that do have power.
We lost power Monday morning around 2am. They're saying it could be Dec. 20
before they get everyone back on. We had about 1.5" of ice on everything.
A blade of grass was about an inch around! We've lost all our trees but no
buildings or vehicles thankfully. I didn't have much aluminum up but the M2
2M5WL long yagi for 2m looks like half of the golden arches. I couldn't
sleep all Sunday night due to the "pops" "cracks" and "shattering crashes".
I couldn't tell if they were trees in my back yard or in the woods across
the street. It was all of the above. Thankfully nothing landed on top of
anything I cared about or can't replace.
Here's some pics...

The ice storm has been devastating here. Probably 75
trees damaged; half will have to be cut down. Some
are 100 years old. Power has been off all day; no
news on getting it back. Using the RV generator now
with a cell link to the internet.
2 ele 40 meter beam and 4 ele SteppIR have survived so
far. I don't know how. The elements are bent almost
vertical. All wire antennas are down. Tree fell on
one set of guys damaging the anchor but tower seems
okay. I hope they make it through the night.
I imagine others (N5OK) have damage but do not have
power or internet. I think they said 200,000 without
power.
