Hi Alan:
Go turn on a fan and point it this way!
Starting at around 3:30 AM I began to hear explosions out back of my house.
Many large trees down the cliff and into the valley behind me. Some of the
trees go 70 feet tall. They are getting a nature trimming now. Interesting to
watch a major limb break and see it fall 60-70 feet taking out others as it
makes its way to the ground. Some really large limbs down around the
neighborhood
here. One biggy across the road leading out of my area but we are pretty well
equipped to weather the stuff - for a while anyway. Son Mark came by and
he is heading to Claremore to get more gas for his generators and picking up
a few things for us. He lives in Owasso and says he has seen telco poles
snapped along with many trees. So indeed it does look to be pretty bad
and will likely take a while to clean up and get power restored.
The Force beams are drooping heavily but as in the past I expect they will
spring back to normal after the load is off of them.
Running on generator power here and the phone lines ( somehow ) are
hanging in. I have ISDN which relies on a pair plus a couple of regular
lines and they are all up for now.
