I got this response from my brother when I forwarded this news about
P.W. Dahl to him:
I called this am thinking to order a transformer for my Alpha 76PA that
hasn't been converted to 3CX800's yet. But. They're not taking new
orders.
Peter's medical situation is quite serious.
Two alternatives were mentioned:
NWL in New Jersey http://www.nwl.com/
Trimax or Trimex in Denver (brief google did not produce a transformer
mfg by that name)
How will the alternatives react to the amateur market? We can only hope.

Guys/gals FYI
Peter Dahl Co. is going out of business 12/31/07.
http://www.pwdahl.com/
Apparently Peter is very ill and he has let the business fall apart.
This will be a big loss to ham radio. His products were the best
and no one else is picking up the slack. In all probability will see
something from the Chinese on the market in the future.
Another piece of America and Ham radio gone forever!
Thanks to Bill Hellman NA2M for this info.
