Go to CompUSA or someone like at, buy a copy of XP and install it.  It's
still for sale.  As far as I know, it's the only cure.

My old desktop's mother board went south after several other repairs had

previously been made. So with it's replacement came a new
OS.............Vista.  
Which I absolutely hate, but had no choice. Could not find anything on
the  
market with XP.
 
I've dwnlded the W6EL prop forecast program and DX Telnet but cannot get

them installed. On Telnet I keep getting msgs which advise the files are

corrupted and to redownload....................
 
Is anyone familiar with Vista and can tell me how to install these  pgms
