Short answer is Vista is a piece of cr*p.

Buy a copy of XP pro or home. Dump your hard drive "BUT" be sure to save
the data you need.

TigerDirect.com is where I buy all my software.
I tried Vista and went right back to XP on all 6 pooters I use here.
