Amused.  $190 for all the features in that Teledyne seems a real 
bargain.  Saving that battery power by using only 4 tubes versus 5 for 
similar performance - wow!

Noticed the author of "Getting Hep to the Hyper Frequencies" is Merrill Gander.
Could he possibly be an Uncle of Doug Xander ( the guy you used to write 
about ) or just a similar last name?
