Jerry:

I am glad to see you guys are having a banquet this year, especially since
it is on the CQWW SSB Weekend, HiHi!!!

I wish I could come up but we are in the midst of putting our house up for
sale and getting ready to build a new house. I saw several Okies up at the
Ten-Tec Hamfest. I saw Bruce, Myron, and Marvin (KC9VF). Myron and I sat
next to each other at the SEDCO convention for a while, also. It was good
to see some of the OKDXA guys. It sounds like OKDXA, like all other radio
clubs, is struggling. I guess the low sunspot activity has something to do
with it, but I think there is this disease going around that says as long as
I do not have to do anything and you provide all my needs, I may participate
in the club, but do not ask me to contribute at all. I guess with
everyone's busy lifestyle just having their name on the rolls suffices for
them.

Have you bought a couple of FT-2000's yet? After I get into my new house I
am going to look at buying one and keeping my Mark-V as a second rig. It
depends on where I build, but I am thinking about putting up two towers. I
hope you have a good turnout for the banquet.

73,
Alan, N5PA
