Guys:

I just wanted to let you know the Clark family is ok after the tornadoes
last night. The tornado touched down about 8 miles south of my house. What
little bit of news I can garnish is that the Glade community, about four
miles southeast of Laurel here in Jones County, got hit and Sumrall, over in
northern Lamar County, got hit. There were injuries reported but they did
not say if it was in Lamar or Jones County. WDAM, the local TV station, was
useless this morning as far as the local news went. They went on with their
morning show like nothing had happened. I learned more about what was going
on here from the Weather Channel than I did from the local news. My
brother-in-law from Brookhaven called us a little after six to check on us
because he had seen it all over the Jackson news.

There is another line of severe weather heading our way and we are under a
tornado watch until this afternoon. It is ten degrees warmer right now than
when I got home last night. Once the second line comes through today it is
supposed to drop about 30 degrees, so with all the Gulf moisture here, we
are still ripe for severe weather.

I wanted to let you guys know that we were all ok here and we have not heard
of any of the hams around here with any damage.

73,
Alan, N5PA
