VU7 has been a very rare country and I am sure it is needed by many in OKDXA 
as well as hams throughout the world.  I think OKDXA should consider making 
a contribution.  With that said, remember that even if we send our entire 
account balance, it is only a drop in the bucket.  If you really want to 
support this operation, you may want to consider making a personal 
contribution as well.

While I'm on a suggestion tangent pse indulge me one  more.

I would like to propose we make a substantial  contribution to ARSI as they
will be on the air for the entire month of Dec.  Their expenses will be
considerably more I would assume than the 15 day  operation which overlaps 
this group.

ARSI has already received all required  permissions to go to Kavaratti 
Island
in Lakshadweep during the whole of  December 2006 and there is now hectic
activity to firm up  details.

Most of the members of the group met in Bangalore on the 1st of  November
2006 to finalize details of equipment and logistics.

All  details have been worked out and we also have the movement plan for 
the
various operators, the tentative shipping schedule and the tentative  plan
for shipping out materials and equipment.

We had two of our  members actually visit Kavaratti to check out and make
arrangements to  receive the group and now everything has been firmed up.
Conditions are  vastly different from the Andamans.

We now also have two more collection  hubs for donations- one in Germany and
another in Japan. This will make it  easier for contributors to send their
contributions.
