[OKDXA] A New Orion II

OK, not exactly new: it's the Orion II that was sold on the new ARRL 
Auction site, which is the one evaluated in QST. I don't know exactly 
what happens next, but I'll keep you posted.

My 40-10 m antennas are up and seem to act like well... Antennas. My 
TS-930S has not found the extended period of inactivity totally 
agreeable because the drive is acting flaky. I fixed this once (it's 
a high S/N unit and so not the standard grommet/plated through holes) 
but I've forgotten what I did. I suppose I getto rediscover what I 
did.  I want to get up my Force 12 Sigma 80 this weekend and I'll be 
a bit better along.

As a new O II owner, I'll happily accept any suggestions from the 
other Orion II owners among you as to how best to handle my initial 
orientation to this beastie.
