Howdy boys! I got wind of this and had to join in too. I'll be active
mobile for the QSO party next year. Since Coy was promoting O, I put in
for W5O and gave some additional choices if it wasn't available. Once I
hear, I'll let you know for sure what I get.

Subject: [OKDXA] Oklahoma QSO Party/OK Centennial/1x1 Calls

Howdy fellow dxers,

I managed to print the forms off the OK
Centennial web site.  I filled out one to request the use of the
Centennial Logo and one to have the Oklahoma QSO Party listed as a
Centennial event.  Everything went well when I turned in the
paperwork at their office in OKC.  I had been talking to a lady named
Terry at the office but didn't realize it was Judy's cousin until she
came
out to greet us.  :^0  I'm not sure how much influence she will
have when the commissioners meet but it sure doesn't hurt to have a
friend
in there.

I've talked to several about getting a 1x1 callsign
and I've been promoting A and O.  I think they will come
through.  I checked a few minutes ago to see if N5K had been approved
yet and still nothing.  The only ones that have been approved at this
time are K5O, W5L and K5M.  I know we have requests in for K and
A.  I'm not sure about the H.  A good candidate for H would be
K5RH since he has an H in his call already.  K5H sounds good except
for all those dots ran together on CW.

Coy
