Now I can respond to Gene's query. I'm elated, relieved, & jubilant today.
Received W0GJ's QSL
for Andaman. (VU4AN/VU3RYJ) today. That does finish the 335 Gene. Whew !
Andaman is an
extremely difficult path from this QTH. Openings were about 20 minutes at
1300Z and then nothing.
Hope those of you that needed it worked it. I understand there are two
newly licensed amateurs
on Andaman now. They need a decent antenna to reach the other side of the
world though. Hopefully
they can get it together and working. Looks like the rule change will add
another entity or two to the
list. Hope everyone can participate in Field Day next weekend. HamCom was
another great fest.
Dave Duskin was busy checking QSL cards at the LSDXA table. Coy presented
a superb forum
for the ARRL. Maybe the company Current Technologies has figured out how
to implement BPL
and notch out our frequencies. DFW is about to get a sample of BPL via TXU
power utility. We'll
see.

73 all, Ross K5RH

[OKDXA] VU4

Now that the full-blown operation from VU4 has taken place, I wonder how
my
fellow OKDX'ers fared. Specifically, I'd like to know if K8FU, W5JMW and
NE0P
were able to log a VU4. If so, I can mark that off the Needed Countries
Excel
spreadsheet for you guys. I'd also like to know if you logged a VU4 Ross,

K5RH? If I'm not mistaken, that is the only country you need to "have 'em
all"
I sure hope you made it. I know the pileups were quite large and signals
were quite marginal, but hopefully you made it.
Gene
