Under the most recent DXCC Rule Change, Swains Island will count for  DXCC.
KH8SI will be on the air for at least 3 days on SSB and CW beginning  after
July 23.  This first expedition to a new country will be limited  because of
the lack of transportation in American Samoa.  6 Operators  will keep a
station both on CW and SSB on open bands.  The expected  opening to Europe is
SHORT and Europe WILL BE PRIORITY during that  opening.  Kan JA1BK/KH6BK is
the team leader. Uti KS6FO, Paul  F6EXV/WH7S, John K1ER, Tets AH7C and John
K8YSE are the operators on this  FIRST EXPEDITION.
