[OKDXA] 7O Yemen question

My understanding is they never got any paperwork at all. Apparently they got
verbal approval by someone in the Yemeni government. It was later
countermanded and they were asked to leave. I spoke to Bill Moore sometime
ago and he was trying to get it approved but without some paperwork it
seemed doubtful. I also have the card so was hopeful.

John,
Only thing I ever heard about that one was that they did not have proper
authorization from the Yemeni government to be on the air from there.
Makes you wonder where they got their callsign though, did they just pluck
it
out of thin air? Or perhaps some telecommunications entity in Yemen issued
the license but they did not have the stamp of approval from the overall
government of the country.
