Here's info that I found on ARRL's website:
 
ZL9CI tops DXpedition QSO record: The Kermadec DX Association's ZL9CI Campbell Island DXpedition topped the DXpedition QSO record set a couple of years ago by the Heard Island VK0IR DXpedition. During its operation from January 6-24, the ZL9CI crew put some 96,000 contacts in the log. The VK0IR team had held the record at 80,000-plus contacts. Both the VK0IR DXpedition and the ZL9CI DXpedition were recipients of Colvin Award grants via the ARRL.
