Guys:

With the Solar Storm in full swing (R3 Radio Blackouts) the HF bands are
basically dead over the poles. The absorption is so great over the poles
that I would think the higher bands on HF would be useless for VU7LD today.
The A-Index is at 6, which is twice as high as the normal high range. The
Solar Flux Index is 93 and the A-Index is up at 42. This should make it
very good on six meter enthusists in the higher latitudes with the affect of
the Aurora.

Two meters should be good this morning here in the deep south. When I was
on the way to work there was an opening on the FM Broadcast band, so
possibly 2-meters is open this morning.

Keep an ear to the ground because you never know when that sneak opening may
occur. I heard that Bill Musa, K5YG from Ocean Springs, MS worked VU7LD on
17 meters yesterday and it got him to the top of the Honor Roll. Way to go
Bill! This DXpedition has given a lot of guys their last one so you can see
how important this DXpedition really is for a lot of folks. Keep Listening
and as always, Good Hunting!

73,
Alan, N5PA
