[OKDXA] Antenna

Alan,
I've got a fair amount of aluminum hanging up there in the sky here myself,
a 5-element monobander, but it's only 55 feet in the air. Still horribly
frustrated by inability to hear them. I don't doubt I can deliver a signal
to them but you have to hear 'em to work 'em.

Gene:
I am using a Force 12 XR5 at 82 feet. My antenna is still bent and mangled
from Katrina. I have straightened it out as much as possible but the boom
droops about 1 foot on each end. I have a new boom and I will replace it
when I build my our new house. Speaking of Katrina, it cannot go without
saying that Bert and Carmen were lifesavers for the Clark family. We could
not have survived without the food, water, and gas that they brought! They
will always be #1 in our book!

I think you and Alan must have better ears than I do.
I didn't realize I was so deaf. I have tried SP, LP, and now due west, all
to no avail. I'm guessing you guys have preamps where you can pump up the
incoming signal.
I don't have that capability and think I'm suffering as a result.
