Just worked him on 14004/007.3 with beam due west. He is very weak but heard
me on second call. GL

Alan,
How well are you hearing them?  There was ONE time for about 2 minutes 
earlier this morning where I actually heard them.  I couldn't believe my 
ears.  But it was VERY brief and then they were back down in the soup.
I've about worn my rotator out swinging between LP and SP, all to no avail.

Guys:

I can hear VU7LD on LP on 20 CW but someone's heating unit is 30 over S9
here most of the time.  When I turn short path it is even higher.  I have
them in the log on 20 CW and Phone so you guys go after them.  We are in the
midst of a heat spell here, already up to 29!!  Good Hunting!
