Fellow DXers,

If you have a noisy shack I highly recommend
using noise cancelling headphones.  In my case, I have an AL-1500
linear which I like real well.  However, the blower on it is very
noisy.  I picked up a cheap pair of these headphones and wow what a
difference.  I bought the Targus AWM20US witch are about $40 on the
internet at several places.  I was impressed when I first put them on
at how much noise they reduced and that was without the noise cancelling
switch on.  When I turned it on, the linear went away and so did
every other noise in the house.

These are cheap and
I'm sure the $300 Bose would hold up better but I don't know how they
could help with noise reduction any more than these do.

I'm
leaving shortly for out Wednesday lunch meeting at the south side Hometown
Buffet.
Hope to see you there.
