Hi All VU4 Seekers,
Working the VU4 from the US is going to be difficult at best. The best times will be around sunrise and sunset. For the low bands our sunrise should be the best time and for the higher bands our sunset should be best.
My sunset is at 01:05Z and the VU4 sunrise is at 12:00Z. That means that we have an hour and 5 minutes where both of us are in daylight with no dark period in common. If I'm lucky, I may be able to work them on some of the higher bands during this period.
On the other hand my sunrise is at 11:56Z and the VU4 sunset is at 1200Z. This means that we have only 4 minutes where both of us are in daylight with no dark period in common. However, even though the sun is up sometimes we can work stations on the low bands for an hour or so after sunrise.
Just some musings on the great opportunity we have to work VU4.
Good luck! Coy
