I e-mailed my Congressman, Gene Taylor about access to Navassa and Desecheo
and this is the reply I received from his office.  Those that are following
this should find this of interest since the bill has been re-introduced.

You recently emailed Congressman Taylor to express your support for H.R.
298.  I wanted to make you aware that due to some complications, Congressman
Rahall has reintroduced the legislation regarding public access to Navassa
National Wildlife Refuge and Desecheo National Wildlife Refuge. The bill is
now H.R. 1183. 

I want to let you know that I have given Gene the information on the new
bill.  Also, I am trying to track down the details on the April 8th briefing
so that I can attend and brief Gene.  If you have any information, please
feel free to email me the details or call the office at the number below.
