I have been trying for the last couple of days to find out if Alan, N5PA was
ok. His QTH is Laurel, MS which was hard hit by Katrina. Today I spoke to a
ham in Laurel, N5NQ, who is a friend of Alan's and a member of the local DX
club. He said that he has not heard from him since the storm and would have
if he was in town. Presently they do not have phone or electricity. He said
that he believes that Alan and his XYL were visiting her in-laws in the
western part of the state when the disaster hit and should be ok. I asked to
have Alan send me a message via the NTS when it is convenient.
