Hey Nelson,

Glad you changed your info. with E-Bay. A lot of "Spoofs" have been going
out in order to
steal your identity. I have sent some warnings out to the list about this.
I'll believe I've won
something when UPS drops it off. Bottom line: Don't tell nobody nuth'n.

Received an e-mail from "eBay" on Thursday advising me that I'd won a shiny
new Dell Inspiron 8200 laptop computer! Seems that Dell is running a
promotion through eBay and every month five lucky winners...

Anyway, there were two grammar errors in the e-mail that made me a little
leery of my luck, and the web site where I was supposed to fill out the
winners form asked for my eBay login and password on the first page. Nothing
wrong with that, per se, but the eBay logos were a little funky and the URL
pointed to dell-advertise.net... Whois tells me that domain is registered to
a Lynette Flemming in Katy, TX and was registered on the very same day that
my e-mail went out.

eBay tells me it's a phony and although I didn't go beyond looking at the
winners page, my password for eBay got changed 'muy pronto'.

Now, had I won a new Cobra 148-GTL 40 channel rig with a power mic, this
could have been a different story...
