Bummer... I always enjoyed my chats with Heinz (both RF and eyeball) as his
personality had the right balance of crusty old bastard and seasoned amateur
to encourage newcomers toward license upgrades and greater enjoyment of the
hobby... We used to be semi-regular on 2M simplex during the winter of
'95/'96 and I'll never forget the QSO we had shortly after I upgraded to
Tech Plus.

Heinz congratulated me for my ambition and the upgrade, then immediately got
on my butt for not learning CW 'Army Style' at 20 WPM from the start and
going straight to Extra instead of climbing the ladder... Whatta' guy, and
he was right... Might have saved me some time in the long run.

His signal will be missed.
