All,
Just wanted to let everyone know that there's a "whole lotta
shakin' goin' on" in my world. I, along with my co-workers at AT&T, have been told that they're closing our center down in
Tulsa. There are 22 of us Communications Technicians who are
either taking severance packages and going out the door or who
will be having to re-locate to keep our jobs. IF I could find
a job of sufficient income I would certainly be open to trying
to stay in Tulsa, I would like to do so in fact, but if nothing
comes up then I'll have no choice but to move, and it's looking like I'll end up in Atlanta. The reason I'm bringing
this up on the OKDXA reflector is two-fold, for one thing, if
any of you could give me any leads or assistance in finding
employment in the Tulsa area it would be greatly appreciated
and secondly, if I have to relocate it will, of course, impact
my ability to function in my jobs with the OKDXA and the W5
Incoming QSL Bureau. I would probably have to resign as VP-
Activities OKDXA, Webmaster of the OKDXA website, and "G"
sorter for the W5 Incoming Bureau, and possibly would have to
try to relocate my roles as DXCC Field Checker and Official Observer.
If any of you have any guidance, leads or such, you're invited
and welcome to contact me either via email ([email protected]) or
via phone (918 560 5446 Work, 918 855 7355 Cell).
The timetable is looking like I'll be having to move at the
end of March, if that's what it comes to.
Thanks to all...
