Sure had a great time at the Banquet last weekend, and I hope everyone had 
a safe trip home.

Those of you who attended should be familiar with the information provided 
by our Oklahoma Section Manager, John Thomason - WB5SYT.  In reference to 
bills HR713, HR1478, and S537, I had mentioned to a couple of you that 
someone should prepare a standard letter that members could send to our 
congressmen and senators, but that was before I had a chance to read all of 
the information.  As noted in John's letter, there are "sample" letters 
available at the ARRL government page, or you can request the text from 
Eddie Manley at jema1@sbcglobal.net.

For those of you that were unable to attend, or that may not be familiar 
with this legislation, you can find information on these issues at the

All of these bills have been in committee for some time, and none of them 
have been sponsored by any member of the Oklahoma delegation.  Let's not 
allow this legislation to die in committee.  Write or call your 
representatives today!
