Dear Heathens:
> #1... Never feed the Kellyville twins a big Mexican dinner the night
before an all day rovering expedition.
We had Mexican food the night before - it must affect Heathens in a
different way.
> #2... Never assume anything with antennas. Lost a lot of valuable time
with tools in hand. How many ways can you rebuild a bug catcher?
This is OK - some of us were concerned you'd have a flat and not be able to
locate the jack and spare you tossed out at home to make room for gear.
> #3...always bring "all" the hamsticks.
That would definitely be a good idea. 15 meter sticks don't load well on 40.
> #4....The Iambic spent a comfortable weekend resting in its usual place
in the shack
I understand however it has been getting some use as work is being done to
improve the speed of that mode coming out of Red Fork.
> #5....Never start out on a rover trip with untried equipment.
Another good idea. I pulled my computer gear and put extra pencils in my
pocket in the last hours because of 2 S units of extra noise generated by
computerization.
The HA (HA1AG) I believe had people all the way to the east coast looking
for you guys in Dewey. A 4 was concerned you might have already left Dewey
before Zoli got to work you. I told him if he knew the group coming from
the west he'd understand that none of us had any idea where you guys might be.
> Saw 2 large groups of antelope-three big turkey flocks-some pheasant and
a brown thing which is yet to be identified.
The brown thing might have been something Nelson mowed down in his
yard. Was the DLL in the van with you at the time?
Glad you guys got back safely and I see you in all the logs received so far.
Last comment. Did y'all put the chair under the door or did the proprietor
of the place in Guymon put it there? Hint: If it was on the outside of the
door - he put it there.
