[OKDXA] Bureau Sorter Needed

Was about to email you a note. Getting out in the morning and would
like to get by and pick up cards. Waited until today to see if some to
leave off but no joy. Only a few here and there that I took care of. Plan
to bundle up this month's shipments this weekend for mailout Monday
or Tuesday.

There is no supervision for the job of letter sorter. A fellow is on his on
and can keep his "tools" in the attic or on the back porch for all the
bureau manager cares. As long as he is somewhat timely on reporting
and getting his users cards in the mail he has the freedom to go to the
Caribbean or wherever. From what I can tell there are several ways that
people set up to track the call signs they handle. Gene, N5CE really
grabbed on and "cleaned house" on the G letter when he got the stuff
from the prior G guy. He seems to have a quick system and his Excel
spreadsheet is quick to put on the web. I think he doesn't worry too
much with "little" details like guys who don't respond to his requests
for envelopes etc. He just moves on down the road. He will be at the
Green Country fest most of Friday and until Saturday afternoon and said
he would help me out on the bureau table. I'm sure he can describe his
setup to us.

I've had no takers from the email on the reflector and had one turn down
by a fellow in OK City who had said earlier he might be interested. There
are a couple in Texas that have offered to help but I'd like to locate someone
in Oklahoma if for no other reason than OKDXA = Oklahoma etc. and
mailing costs would be a bit lower. I'll probably have Orin send his stuff
on up here after he handles this months mailout and then see what can
be done from there. The (eye) letter is not one of the biggest. May be
one of the smaller ones actually. Q, H and B are the smallest.

Hope to see you in the morning.
