Dave & fellow enthusiasts,

I couldn't have said it better. Thanks Dave ! Durn ! Seems like I have
to travel
out of state to see club members these days. Sheesh !

The DX forums are more meaningful than Daytons'. Three days of them.......

Wayne N7NG held up fine and the East Timor thing is unlikely to change.
He blessed a 700 card submission with 100 or so over 10 years cards for
W0UHL. Thanks Wayne....Now to tell Jon his cards are safe and back in
Tulsa for him to pick up. Whew !!

Good seeing my pals W5WP, xNJ1V now K1ZA & a ton of OKDXA members.
Had a nice chat with Ruthie. John is a busy feller. Priceless !

The LSDXA Hospitality suite was superb on Friday night. Can't vouch for
Saturday. Maybe Coy made that one..... These are the guys that make it
happen.

If the foto of me with my hero Joe Walsh comes out (thanks to Coy) , maybe
Gene would consider it for the website. I have vinyl LP's of Joe Walsh and
everything he recorded with Don Henley and The Eagles. also priceless....

Bernie W3UR gave a great accounting of the activation of Johnston Island
as AH3D at the DX Luncheon. Ol' Morris W5IO was the last standing at the
Luncheon. Gil W5NUT was getting tired standing till the count reached 380.
Seems Johnston is a disposal site for chemical & biological compositions
being tidied up for return to life as a wildlife sanctuary..
Thanks Bernie.

Flea market was fun. WB0W had a dozen tables. Need a tower part(s).
Think he'll be at Ham Holiday. Lotsa girlie stuff and boat anchors.
Reckon my S-line qualifies. No AH9B with the pristine 30S-1. I'm a
sucker
for Collins stuff.

No regrets for contribution we made to the effort. Think there were a half
dozen
or so 5 Land clubs that helped.

Coy said they sold a hundred + ARRL memberships there. Good show pal !

Kay says the efforts to get amateur radio stations in schools is still
showing
great promise.
