Greetings OKDXA members.
Hope this post finds everyone well.
HamCom in Arlington will be here 20-21-22 June (That's Friday =
week, folks). The OKDXA has sent a $150.00 contribution to the Lone Star =
DX Association in support of their DX activities at Hamcom. We have been =
well received and recognized by them every year and this year will be no =
exception. Lots of great DX forums, programs, speakers etc. This year the =
ARRL National Convention will also be held there. If you can make it, =
you won't be sorry. www.hamcom.org

More Stuff:
Ham Holiday is coming up in OKC on 18-19 July. You can save $3 by =
pre-registering before 13 July. We have secured the enclosed-read =
quiet-room at the back of the hall for our meeting. This is the room =
that the VE testing normally takes place, but they are going to let us =
have it for the lunch hour. The OKDXA meeting will be held at high noon =
on Saturday. Please write down any issues you would like to discuss, as =
this is the last time we will be together until the fall banquet. Also, =
please note> the offices of President and Vice President/Activities will =
be up for nomination at this meeting. PLEASE let me know if you would =
like to volunteer for one of these offices or poll anyone you think =
would make a good candidate. Also, if you know someone who might fill =
the bill, but would prefer not to approach them, send me an email and I =
will be glad to talk to them. Hey, I'll talk to anyone at least =
once...Hi! All such emails will be treated as confidential. Of course, =
all nominations will be accepted from the floor of the meeting and will =
be voted on by all members present. See you there. =

Last Stuff:
The HF bands-and DX-have kinda been in the dumpster lately, but you can =
still check into the OKDXA weekly net on 3.860 +/- QRM at 18:30 local =
time on Monday nights. Alan/N5PA keep us posted on your 60 meter mods =
for the Yeasu-very interesting. Anyone else who gets something going for =
60-rigs or antennas- please let us know what you did and how you did it. =
I'm sure we will see some small low power mono band rigs on the market =
for that band soon. It will be interesting to see what the big boys do =
with their new equipment.=20
73 everyone and see you at Arlington.
