A correction...
Art Bell tends to hang out with the 3830 Group, now moved to 3840. I have no
idea why they moved, or why I typed 3950 earlier, but who says a computer
doesn't have a VFO...? Since this group is mostly west coast insomniacs your
best bet is to listen between 2 and 4 am central time. For more info on

I worked Art about a year ago and it's no problem throwing an S-9 into
Pahrump, NV with a barefoot rig. Next time I'm up in the middle of the night
I'll see how the new setup sounds on this side... Looking at the E and H
plane computer modeling he'd have been better off with a four-square array
for DX work, but maybe the idea was to throw a little something in all
directions and 'up' is a reasonable concept when you're within 600-700 miles
of a coastline...? At least he didn't need to bury miles of radials.
