Good job. What did you put up for 160?
This is the run down here. I had trouble with the transmit antenna, high
swr on the 130 foot tower.
This is the first time both antenna systems have worked at the same time.
The Beverages are the best ever and I finally came up with a way to get the
130 foot tower to work. The series vacuum variable seems to be the problem,
it's not shorted or open, maybe it's a high resistance connection that the
AEA antenna analyzer can't make. All
those trips up the tower for nothing. At 4:30 p.m. I was desperate. I
disconnected the gamma rod, ungrounded the tower and put Dave's Dentron
antenna coupler in the line. It tuned up well but the bandwidth isn't too
good and I had to watch the power or the tuner would arc.
This is how our score stacks up so far. Dave and Ken did most of the
operating, I was too tired.
First night QSO's Sections DX

Second night 1060 57 22 Last Q at 0243CST, Dave ran until
0115CST
I took a break and got back on at 0500CST and picked up 32 Q's, 10 dupes,
and 2 VK's...no JA's this a.m. I saw some spotted and listened to K7CP in
AZ picking up one now and then but nothing like a run.
