I worked on and off from six until ten, mainly off. With my measly 160
meter setup (80 meter inverted-v), I worked 38 states and four countries.
The state-side QRM made it difficult to copy a lot of DX. I still needed 15
states for 160 meter WAS before the contest and I picked up 6 new states
last night, so it was fruitful. I did pick up 3 new DXCC entities on 160,
though. I am looking forward to tonight and seeing if I can pick up some
new states and entities. Hope to hear some of you guys on tonight. I just
saw the e-mail that Bill is going to start back on the 160 meter contest in
about 30 minutes. The sun does not set until 2:30 p.m. CST at his QTH,
conditions must be vastly different at his QTH. Conditions here were as
good as I have heard them on 160 last night. The QRM was unbelievable,
though. Good Hunting!
