> Ah yes....Nothing better than a good wide 1.5 KW AM signal on 27.185.

And that was just for the mobile rig... The big power was in the base
station. ( ! )

> Good snag at the Salvation Army. I haven't hit the Goodwill store here in
West Tulsa in awhile. May have to do that on the way back from the gun show
tomorrow afternoon. We love our guns and C.B.'s here in Red fork!

I heard that. Maybe you'll score a deal on a good camcorder so you can take
pictures of the things that mean the most to you... Like the CB, the gun,
the pickup truck, your Worked All Red Fork TV's on 27 MHz award... The
possibilities are endless.

> Ok, its 00:32 hours-back to Art Bell. We are talking about Mars tonight!
I'm with you on the 1170 am local thing-don't have to prey for conditions
anymore. Art never sounded better on my bedside Grundig 800.

I'm up early myself and thought I'd give a listen for Art on 3840, but my
noise floor is up around infinity over nine plus 10 dB on 75 Meters. Gotta'
love those Christmas lights...

PS: Somebody needs to mention this is mid-summer in Antarctica and the net
freq for the research stations down south (way south) is 14.243... Listen
for those KC4 calls like USV (Mc Murdo) and AAA (South Pole). Since it's
daytime all the time down there, they don't need as many Christmas lights...
Lucky Bastards. (Hi!)
