Greetings OKDXA members,

Hope this email finds everyone well.

The OKDXA is helping to sponsor a DX Pedition to Annobon Island (Pagalu) =
from 27 September to 10 October 2003. They will use a 3C=D8 prefix call. =
This is currently # 19 on the DX News list and needed by many on =
different modes/bands. You don't hear this one on every day, so listen =
up and fill a couple a holes in your log.

Their website is http://www.tabarca.es.mn make sure and click on the =
sponsors list while your there.

The OKDXA fall banquet is nailed down-finally- for Saturday,Oct 4th =
2003. Our speaker will be the president of the LSDXA, Bill Priakos/W5SJ. =
A lot of you know Bill and a good time will be had by all.

The menu will be Lasagna or Tortilini w/Alfredo-Tossed salad with =
assorted dressings-French style green beans-Garlic bread and assorted =
deserts. Water-Tea-Coffee included for $11.00 per person + tax & =
Gratuity.

The place will be Terry's Cafe. 904 South Air Depot in Midwest City. I =
will try to post some driving directions in the near future. Terry =
normally serves breakfast and lunch only, but is going to gear up that =
evening for our banquet.=20

Food will be served from 5:30 P.M. Until 7:00 P.M. Program will start at =
7:00 with an OKDXA meeting immediately after the program. Advance ticket =
purchase will not be necessary. However, we would like to get an =
approximate head count. If you can attend, please send me an email =
informing me how many in your party by  September 15th (one month from =
today) so we can see how many to prepare for. I hope everyone who reads =
this can make it.There might even be a door prize or two.

We are also in need of a laptop that can load a Power Point presentation =
and an LCD wall projector. If you have one we can use for the evening, =
of know someone who does, please advise.

As most of you know, the reelections we're put off until the banquet =
this year for reasons already discussed.

The offices of President-myself-and vice =
President/Activities-Mark/KD5DLL- are open for nomination and election =
this year. If you think you might be interested in either one, send me =
an email or phone me @ 918-446-5957. Your privacy is assured even if you =
just want to talk about it. There are a lot of good members out there =
that would make good officer material. I will be available 24/7 to help =
my predecessor in any way I can, and I know Mark will do the same =
(except with geography).
