Dave,

I feel this is important for the OKDXA.  This will help get our name out
there and I can see it pulling us together.  That's what it did for the
Magnolia DX Association.  My vote is AYE!  Also, I don't think the OKDXA
will be out any funds.  The ARRL should reimburse any start up money
required.

Greetings Officers & Directors,

 I'm sure most of you are aware that the 5 land bureau head is up for grabs.
Floyd/N5FG has to step down for personal reasons. With a great deal of pride
& pleasure, I would like to announce that one of our own Jerry/K5YAA has
accepted the position and has been confirmed by Newington.  Jerry & I both
feel that it would be better all around if the 5 call area bureau was
represented as a club, i.e.. The Magnolia DX Association-the current
sponsor.

 What are your up front feelings about the OKDXA taking on the club
sponsorship?  There will probably be some monetary considerations-at least
at start up-possibly the cost of a contribution to a large DX Pedition.
Primarily to help support the website & database functions of the bureau.
The primary function of the bureau-that of handling QSL cards-is self
supporting. Jerry has some corporate sponsorship if this thing is a go. It
seems most (if not all) of the sorters are willing to stay in
place...however... I don't want to minimize the commitment. Make no
mistake,this is a big step.

 After mulling it over in my mind for a couple of days, I think it would be
great for the club-and the clubs well being is my top priority....period.

 Give me your thoughts as quick as you can & I sure wish you guys would quit
calling P5/Ed until I get him...Hi!
