Jim:
Yes, I sat there calling last night. He was taking all comers and not
working by call area. I did not think he was managing the pileup very well.
I thought he had learned that by now. The pileup was very unruly, also. I
kept trying to hear the station he was working on the Sub-VFO, but there
were hundreds of people just continually calling after he went back to
someone or he asked for particular letters in the suffix. Only a couple of
times I heard him and could not pick up a pattern of how he was listening.
It was also interesting that nobody spotted him. I will try it again
tonight if I can get away on time. This is the only the second time I have
heard him on phone and he was 55 to 57 at my QTH, much stronger than before.
What aggravated me were the people who were working him for the 10 meter
contact and had him confirmed already on 15 phone and RTTY. Give the rest
of us poor souls a chance to work him. Floyd Gerald always rubs it in
because Joe Morris, N5ID, worked him on 100 watts and a G5RV antenna. I am
not at home in the day when the bands are less crowded, either. Anyway,
good hunting!

Ed has been showing up on 28530 + or - at 5:30 p.m. local time for about 45
minutes. Propagation into OK has been pretty good. However, it is a real
dog fight, ha.
Good luck,
Jim
