I've had four e-mails come through this weekend, two each on Saturday &
Sunday, from oddball senders which included suspicious file attachments. All
were deleted on sight.
One had no text in the message with an attached opinion poll, another had a
'Snoopy' game I was sure to enjoy (said the message text), while a third had
a virus warning with a clean-up utility included. All three with text
messages were in broken English.
I've seen stuff like this before, but never in this volume. Best advice for
any funky e-mail is to delete it on the spot and then visit your deleted
mail folder and delete it again. Do not open any suspicious file attachment
or try to look at it. I have MS Outlook Express set to auto-purge the
deleted mail folder when the program exits, you may want to poke around in
Tools / Options and do the same.
