The 4;1 are pricey for the high watt ones.
Surpluss sales wants $600 for their baluns ouch!
For sure you will cook one doing cw or rtty if its watt rating is too low.
the only one i am useing now is a built in job that came with the tuner.
You can find information about winding your own at www.arrl.org
If you are useing a dipole a delta match will work.
are you useing balanced feed line?
If so a pi L network will work, the Johnson kw matchbox used them to prevent
insertion loss and unnecessary shack heating.
