Jerry, here is another from Bernie with a real neat
idea on the packing for shopment of the antenna. Sez
the roof mount not necessary if there are U bolts for
mounting the clamp.

I am still waiting for William to reply on the exact
dates so that we 
can
decide where to send it. For the moment I think to
South Africa will be 
the
best option.

He will be here for 3 weeks which only starts in a
week or so.  It is 
more
than enough time for an airmail parcel to get here.

It may be easier to put everything in a piece of PVC
conduit with a 
large
enough diameter and just plug the ends.  As short as
possible 
obviously!  If
there is a clamp (u bolt type) attachment at the
bottom there is no 
need for
the roof mount bracket Jerry offered to be sent along.

Again Jerry, I am happy to take care of the packing
cost.
