The following from http://www.qsl.net/st0f web site.
I will have to improve my station here. Is there
anyone that has an old beam lying around that he is
not using, and would donate it to ST0F, and I will in
turn, on my departure, donate it to the local Ham club
SARA?..
Iam now using only 30 watts into a dipole. I hope to
improve the station as time and equipment allows.
Propagation is very different throughout the world. I
will try to operate at different times to help
optimize the openings to some areas. I am in Sudan
working, and will be here for at least one year, so do
not worry about having a QSO. The work week here is
Saturday through Thursday, so I will try to spend more
time on the radio Thursday evening, and Friday. Look
at the propagation graphs above to see how it differs
around the world.
My own comments follow:::::
To help get a beam to this guy seeml like it would be
a good club project. Would help a lot of folks with a
difficult country for a long time maybe. I have st0f
confirmed but would go a few bucks to try and get a
beam there. ANYONE INTRESTED AS AN OKDXA PROJECT????
