Try this:
1. Get Dr. TCP (it's free, search for it with google)
2. Try these settings:

Receive Window 224360
Window Scaling YES
Time Stamping NO
Selective Acks YES
Path MTU Discovery YES
Black Hole Detection NO
Max Duplicate Acks 3
TTL 64
MTU 1500

Those were optimum on my laptop on the wireless network and also on my other
desktop on the phoneline network. Still not quite as quick as the server,
but MUCH faster than before I put these settings in. Also see
http://www.copperhead.cc/tips.html for some good registry tweaks which also
will help speed things up. Do a search on "satellite forum", lots of info
available out there from people who have been there and done it. Good luck.

JERRY
I also am now using Direcway. It is really great. However, the 2nd
computer I have networked with it is alot slower than the Server (XP Home)
the Client is Pent. III running Win 98. The connecting cable is about 20
feet.
Any suggestions?
