Thanks to you, and all the others for replying. I just put up an inverted L,
with 32 radials, and it seems to be working OK. I've picked up 3 new
countries in the last week. I will more than likely need a receive antenna,
but I'm in the country where it is pretty quiet. I think I've figured out
the times to be on the band, kinda like for 80 meters. I would sure like
some more info on when to look for specific countries.

I'm on 13 acres, but have horses, and they love to rub against everything.
That has put me off of the beverage idea, but might look at a magnetic loop.
I've been studying it, in the antenna handbook and DXing on the edge. I'm
open to any help, and I'll just do what I can with the available free time I
have.
