Yeah... I took the time to confirm his diagnosis of a soft power supply and
let him know his TX was 1 kHz below his RX. Glad you didn't catch the guy in
Phoenix with the scout troop who duped me so more of the kids could make a
radio contact... Here I am playing Mr. Rogers with 9-year olds experiencing
mic fright while you're working Irkutsk, but I guess that's why they call it
Amateur Radio.

At least I'm experienced... Seems I always end up sitting next to KD5DLL in
the Heathen section of the TARC meetings. Yeah, I know I rag on Mark, but
the time I've spent with him came in handy this weekend... Like when I was
working the "Deliverance" states on 40 this morning.

Then there was the guy who spent at least two minutes telling me why he
doesn't work contests, but it's OK if that's what someone else wants to
do...

> Nice collection of notes and a great writeup. I'm happy to see you with
300 Qs. I was worried a bit 'cause I was reading the mail on a few minutes
of one of your 40 meter Sunday AM QSOs. Seems an ol' boy in Texas was
describing his collection of Atlas Transceivers to you. Said he wouldn't
bother you with fixin' them since he had a number and could use spare parts.
I thought that was nice of him not to bother you with repair questions in
the middle of the party. Hi.
